What do you do? (Are you a dance school?)
We present live dance performances of world-class touring companies at different venues throughout the city. We work directly with the dance companies we present to offer educational programs such as master classes, symposiums, panel discussions, auditions and workshops that benefit not only dance students, but all lovers of dance.
Do you provide services for the dance community?
While our program includes master classes, symposia and other outreach and educational activities for both dance students and professional dancers, we are not a service provider organization. However, Dance/USA has recently established a Philadelphia branch that serves this purpose (see www.danceusaphiladelphia.org).
Aren’t you Dance Celebration?
That is the name of our core program founded by our artistic director, Randy Swartz. In 1983, he partnered with Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts to present the series at that venue (Annenberg’s presenting program is called Penn Presents).
Can I buy tickets from you?
Tickets for Dance Celebration can be purchased directly from the Annenberg Center Box Office in a number of ways: call 215-898-3900, online at www.pennpresents.org, or in person at 3680 Walnut Street. We also collaborate with others to present dance at various venues. Ticket purchases for those events vary by venue, so please check under Special Events for those announcements.
Can you help me with subscriber and/or seating questions?
If it about a Dance Celebration performance, it’s best to contact Annenberg Center’s Box Office (215-898-3900).
I have a suggestion for a dance program and/or company. Whom should I talk to about this?
You can direct programming ideas and suggestions or comments about our performances to our artistic director, Randy Swartz at randy@danceaffiliates.org.
My daughter wants to take ballet/dance/tap lessons. Do you have a list of schools or studios I can choose from?
We suggest you contact Dance/USA Philadelphia
(admin@danceusaphiladelphia.org or
215-922-5970).
Where else can I see dance performances?
